Naive

What does "naive" mean?
Lacking judgment;
Willing to trust or believe too quickly -- especially prior to considering adequate evidence;
Being unsophisticated;
Displaying a lack of sophistication;
Being or displaying an unaffected simple nature;
Lacking experience;
Without or not using information;
Unsuspecting;
Being artless and uncritical;
Gullible.

In the short time that Barack Obama has been president of the United States he has demonstrated what a naive, unworldly, poorly-informed person he really is.
He has clumsily tried to "call a bottom" in the stock market (who in their right mind would do that!) by telling Americans that buying stocks now would a "good deal". He insisted that he doesn't intend to be guided in his policies by the market's decline (apparently unaware that the market is actually passing judgment on his performance to date).
He declared his certainty that his economic policies will work when only a fool could claim to know for sure.
He wrote a stupidly-worded negotiating letter to the Russians that was so off-base the Russians sneered at it.
He was incredibly rude to his guest, the British Prime Minister.
Only someone who has no clue about the world outside his own life could make such stupid mistakes in quick succession.
Many, many people were fooled by Obama's slick performances during the campaign. Here's hoping those people will begin to see that they elected an uninformed, uneducated, extremely naive adolescent to the presidency and will not repeat those mistakes in future elections.

The American people are demonstrating their own naive nature. The world is watching, waiting to take advantage of the US, and expecting America to fail any test put to them.
Judging by the American people's recent naive actions, they will fail any and all tests... even more of the easy tests.
